About Us

Alana is a Colorado native just like both of her parents, Anita and Arthur Abercrombie. Born and raised in Northglenn, Colorado, she grew up in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Alana and her older brother Dee shared many family outings such as camping, fishing and four-wheeling in the family CJ-5.

On a winter day you might find her skiing the black diamonds, but in the summer her bike and hiking boots carry her through the wilderness. Alana inherited the travel bug from her mother and has explored many cities around the world. Luckily, her interest in photography keeps her adventures well documented.

During college, she spent a semester with the banana-benders at the University of Queensland in Australia. She graduated from Colorado State University with two degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Business Management. Since graduation, she has worked with business Consulting firms, she currently works for Accenture.

Mike was born in Melbourne, Florida and lived there for many years before the family moved to Boulder, Colorado. The climate and the mountainous terrain offered many outdoor sports, such as skiing, mountaineering and biking. Mike explored these adventures with his friends and through scouting with Boy Scout Troop 171

His affinity for the sea eventually reclaimed his soul and he returned to the Florida Keys to work as a Divemaster during the summer months between college semesters. Mike studied economics and German at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and has since employed this knowledge in a professional career.

Alana and Mike met at Colorado State University and were married August 25, 2001. They now take up residence in Sydney, Australia where they are exploring a new country.
